A celebration of all things rambunctious, Thursday Night Pajama Party was a result of my desire to cut loose amidst mid-semester anxieties. It was also an opportunity to inject several concepts I drew from the twentieth-century classical world (polyrhythm, superimposed tonality) into the jazz-pop idiom. Like the best pajama parties, Thursday Night aimed to be boisterous, funky, and slightly off-kilter, but in the end, just a lot of fun.
